Edgefold Players

Edgefold Players was formed in late 1984 by a group of people led by the late Saunie Williams. The group was begun by a group of ladies who had performed a number of sketches at the Church Harvest Suppers. The aim was to have fun by producing quality plays for local people as well as raising funds for Edgefold Hall and other good causes

The Players' first performance was in March 1985 with Beside The Seaside

The group went from strength to strength, and in 1992 became full members of Greater Manchester Drama Federation

In autumn 2001 the group moved to its new home - Walkden Community Hall on Memorial Road, Walkden - and continues to entertain audiences of all ages with 3 - 4 quality productions each year

New members are always welcome - We now have a junior section too!
