Worship at St Mark, Worsley

All are welcome at St Mark, where we offer a variety of services to suit your needs

Children are especially welcome - our playpen and toys help little ones (and mums) enjoy the services

Access for disabled visitors is provided from the Church car park

Holy Communion is taken monthly to housebound members and residential homes in the parish. The clergy will be glad to know of anyone who would welcome this, or a visit

Sunday Services
8:00am Holy Communion A quiet, said service following the order of the Book of Common Prayer
10:30am Parish Communion + Children's Church A choral service, with a musical setting of the new Common Worship order for Holy Communion, hymns and a psalm, and a sermon. Children's Church starts after the first hymn, and they return at communion time, after which they often present some of their work to the congregation. Once a month during term time the uniformed groups and Children’s Church parade and remain in church for the whole service, which reflects their needs. Holy Baptism is sometimes administered during the service. Coffee is served afterwards, at the back of church
12:30pm Holy Baptism A separate service, on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, with a hymn and brief address. During 10:30 service by arrangement
6:30pm Evensong A sung service following the traditional order of the Book of Common Prayer, with a psalm, canticles and hymns and a more extended sermon. On the 3rd Sunday of each month the service is slightly shortened, and a celebration of Holy Communion follows in the Ellesmere Chapel at 7:20pm
